(sorry, posted this in the general discussion forum first, then came across this)

    Hiya,

Have a DSGBA N-Card 1 gb - and have been struggling to get Zelda saves to work on it. Everytime I save and quit, get a "save file is corrupt" message, and then my saved game is recreated, so I'm having to restart the game everytime I switch off. This happens if I just save during the game, power on and off, and restart the game AND also, if I save and quit, and go back to the main menu.
Obviously I've considered just playing on and on till I finish the game but thats hardly ideal!
Have tried updating firmware for the N-Card but no luck. Also used the MK5 latest firmware and no luck there either.

Would really appreciate if someone had a solution for me, or a link to a firmware that'll fix this problem.
While updating firmware etc. have cleared my N-card of everything but Zelda, so there's more than enough free space for a save game etc.

    Many many thanks in advance.

You can most likely find the firmware here:

    http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/

It should be as simple as to simply extract the firmware to the root level of your cart.

I dun know whether this is the correct way to update... can someone pls enlighten me?

tells me to turn off my ds cos date can't be writtten... arrgh i'm so frustrated...
Shoulda bought an R4 or Supercard or M3, those seem to have much more support

Important: This upgrade need to format N-Card, please backup your game and save first.
1.Insert the Writer into slot 2 and insert N-Card into slot 1.
2.Use USB cable connect to PC USB port directly. (Please do not use extension USB cable)
3.Hold the "up" directionnal button and turn on power.
4.still holding "up", press "L+R+A+B", will enter upgrade mode(red color text).
5.Double click "NAND_ALL.bat"to run upgrade program. Please ignore if there some "found a badblock" appear when upgrade some 8G dslinker.
6.Quick Format N-Card by holding DOWN+A+B+L+R when starting your DS.
    7.Copy "xmenu.nds" to the root (main directory, i.e. N:/ )
8.After the first time enter "GAME MODE", DSYSTEM folder will be set up. This folder you must not delete, or you will get an error when starting.

Now your N-Card/Clone should be updated ;D

MAKE SURE YOU SET THE N_CARD TO FLASH 4MBIT. Also use the firmware i told you to use.

    Hi everyone!
I had the same problem but I fixed it by choosing "Flash 4 MBit" save type!
    That's all!
    Goodbye!
