My r4i pocket won't work

i have a ds lite, it always says no ds card but when it did show it got stuck on a white screen

Yes it should.
Did you put it's firmware on the microSD?

How to update the kernel?
By using the TF card reader, connect your TF card with computer, open the file.
a. Upload game kernel: Copy the R4.DAT file to your TF card.
b. Upload video kernel: Copy the Moonshl2 to your TF card.
c. Upload DIY Interface function: Copy the R4iMenu to your TF card.

 

It doesn't have an r4.dat only r4.pk

 

You mean on your DS menu it says no card? Then it's not a firmware issue. The problem is the contacts on the card aren't making proper contact with the DS slot.
