Hi i have a phat ps3. I..I kinda bought it for 40$ thinking it would be an easy fix. When i power it up, it shuts rights right back down and keeps blinking.. Is this an easy fix or did I just get cheated by someones grandma??
It's just the magnets on the HDD malfunctioning. You need to remagnetize it by opening the housing and running a magnet over it a few times.
This is exactly the solution I was just going to post, my PS3 did this a few weeks ago and I did that and it works great!
yeah... rather go to youtube to find out Where exactly to magnetize What. hardware don't really respond to magnets well
aha. thanks. so i didnt get gypped by someones grandma then . also ive encountered another problem.. it seems the old granny that sold me the system tried opening the HDD disk tray and.. stripped the screws >_>. whats the best way to dig these little buggers out??
