Hello, I don't come onto Romulation often, but recently I had come back to download a fair handful of gamecube games. I had 14000+ points when I started, more than enough for the amount I was going to download, but then after only just 3 games finished, my points had been reduced to less than 1000. Needless to say i was confused and unable to download anymore games.

My only theory is maybe the server thought I was restarting my downloads every time I would pause and continue the download for later in firefox, and deducting points respectively at each download resume. I don't have any way to prove any of this except what my points are now and the games I downloaded before this mishap occured, but maybe a server log could be viewed upon by someone in charge of that kind of thing and help me out.

Regardless of if I can be helped or not, I appreciate any response that might clear up as to why this even happened.

Points are not deducted for download resuming nor for re-downloading within a 24 hour span.
Most likely this is a server error. Seph or Loonylion will probably re-instate your points if a problem is found on their end.

    Sorry for any inconvenience.

Server seems to think that you didn't resume but restarted the downloads several times. I will look further into this as resuming should not cost points.

Well, thank you for clearing this up a bit. Though a few downloads I did actually have to re-download due to abrupt power outages in my area from some nasty weather, this only happened twice though.
Perhaps another cause could have been download pause/resumes that were 24 hours apart?

You should be able to resume at any time, however firefox doesn't always resume properly. If you want resume capability you're better off using a proper download manager.

I suggest Downthemall. It's a firefox addon and is very useful I have found.

This just occured to me. I just tried to download Real Crimes Jack The Ripper which is around 15 MB and when I hit the download button it just stalled for like 10 mins then the download failed prompt popped up (issue). Then when I tried again the download 1 file error occured (not the issue I know regulars can download 1 at a time).I know 15 points isn't much but it's still points. I'm using Opera, (My Network is slow) and I want to know if my can be redeemed.

    a 15MB game doesn't cost points.

This can't have happened. We only charge points once per 24 hours regardless of whether or not a user restarts the download. Looking at the download log I'm not seeing any duplicate logged downloads either.

Sorry for the confusion. I checked my network provider and they said there was a problem on the server which caused download errors. This has now been fixed.
