Finally i purchased another New Laptop. Here's the Specs: Intel Core i7 4702MQ @2.2 GHz, Turbo Boost Upto 3.2 GHz with 6 MB Cache Hard Disk 1 TB + 8 GB SSD RAM 8 GB DDR3 OS Windows 8.1,64-bit Apparently they don't provide win 7 with the newer systems anymore. NVIDIA N14P-GV2 DDR3 2 GB (gt740m) Here's more info So now i want to hear what everyone thinks about the specs ;D
Re: My new Bulid that isn't a build, its a prebuilt laptop. specs are OK, although the 8GB SSD seems rather pointless and shame about windows 8, but I'm not entirely surprised. You could probably install windows 7 yourself if you wanted to.
Re: My new Bulid ooops sorry i meant to say system not build Well jus like you said 8gb SSD is pointless, because i dont know what that is and have never come across an ssd. Got to read more about it.
Re: My new Bulid Anyways what do you have to say about that graphics? And i know the clock speed is low, only 2.2 ghz, but that's ok for a Lap right?
Not really. Make sure to set your computer to start on the desktop. If you use Skype, don't use the godawful app just download the desktop version. Actually, make sure you set your program defaults so things don't open in apps. Okay?
Yea im settin program defaults right now. And i just tried the sykpe in bulit app...it was askin for a microsoft account login. K ill download the skype software.
I think what you were trying to say is its flash memory used as cache (on top of the standard hard disk cache), which is what a hybrid drive is. I run an actual SSD caching a hard disk, and I can't honestly say I've noticed it making any difference to the performance of the hard disk.
I love the Android OS so much and I've supported it for so long, argued how good it was compared to the windows 8 phones, went around shouting how bad win 8 is. I cant believe i'm saying this, but i'm actually starting to LIKE Win 8 -_-
most people don't have a problem with windows 8 as a phone OS. What they have a problem with is microsoft forcing a smartphone OS onto desktop users.
Once you override that start screen and bury the apps the experience gets a whole bunch better. I still have a hell of a time getting my drivers going, though.
Not to hijack your thread, but this is what I'm getting for a mate of mine: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/necr0/saved/DpNv6h Wanted me to build it.
