My mom's having issues with ESET firewall, and accessing the internet...

okay here's the deal, she can't access the internet through Firefox, or IE when ESET's firewall is on, her ISP (Time Warner cable) says it's the firewalls fault...well if that was the case, i'd be unable to be posting this >=( what can i do to fix this on her computer?

 

NOD32, often has issues with a lot of things, in my case it hate's nProtect GameGuard which the MMORPG I'm playing uses.

My suggestion, try other anti virus apps like AVG or Avira... wait, you said the issue is with the firewall, in that case try using ZoneAlarm instead.

 

ya, but based on what she said her ISP told her, i'm not believing it -.-"
they said ESET updated their protection policy first, she gave them an excuse for that, then they said firefox updated security...if that was the case, i'd be fucked to...

 

told her that, they're also known for the worst customer support in the US >.>

 

Id switch to KIS,but it can be too thorough sometimes,like "intercepting" keygens etc-until you tell it not to.....
