My "lovely" computer

    this is what i got im my shit box

    SM2-940x2 5400+ CPU
    ASUS(AM2-940 MBORD
    Nvidia 512 8400 GS vidcard
    Vista 32bit with 2 gig's of kinston valye ddr2 800

    Now what im asking is what i need to grab to play aion at around 60+ constant fps cause atm im fluxing between 40-50 and get aslow as 10, would like to tweak it for aion and wow play please help willing to buy hardware and tweak software cheers guys

    Edit: Downloaded last driver 2dai as well

    well first off, if you're running vista you're gonna want more RAM, I'd suggest at least doubling what you have

    what's the actual speed of your processor aswell?

    drop vista, thats pretty much the entire problem. that machine is well overpowered for WoW.

    processor is 2.8 dual
    so drop vista? nev knew what the bloody differenc was can anyone explain?
    What about window 7? leave it or get it when it comes out?

    Vista hogs up your resources, so that tiny 2GB of RAM you have is being chewed up by your Operating System. Vista looks at it and thinks "yum, a midday snack!"

    okay get more ram can be done 2dai, but about the OS my main concern is running new'r programs on it u reokn itl have any problem EG. aion

    XP should not have any trouble, windows 7 might. If you decide to buy windows 7, make sure you get either the professional or ultimate versions; Microsoft don't make this public, but home edition does not have full XP compatibility.

    I have the W7 RC, and it works perfectly fine with everything on my new HP Pavilion. I may not play WoW though, but I still play video games on the computer. I'm getting the real W7 free;D!

    sweet cheers guys, btw i got that extra 2gig of ram in the short 2hours peroid so now im at 4gig, so hopefully that will help specially with all the damn background programs


    Also Found out the i dont got a nvidia Gcard but some Asus one, also WTF is window Aero? says my Windows index score is 4.1 cause of that desktop aero crap

    windows aero is the fancy vista interface, its a real performance killer.
