Pretty much this. Instead of placing your name however, you could just add Mother 3 with maybe some side text below it(idk maybe party like a mother or something).

Yes, but Imo it should be bigger and a little more noticable. The text is also just GREY, kinda bland in ways. Shadowing or the original Mother 3 text would be pretty cool.

Actually, it's not that bad, it's actually good. You don't have to create everything from scratch to have it called a sig.

Sometimes just slapping something on can be a sig, but as long as you don't rip someone elses work.

 

Okay... after taking up some suggestions, I think this one's a bit more signature-y, not much though. I added the side borders, my name, and desaturated it because the original colors feel a little bit flashy.
Yeah, this one's pretty much the final version. I'd use this as my sig if there's nothing to change.

I ripped it from an official wallpaper, and put the game name and creator on the top. Should be more than enough.

 

meh i could'nt be bothered to make a flashy sig so i just went with black background and sonic
