My DSi wont connect to my internet. :(

My DSi won't connect to my new BT router thing. If I try to connect it has a silver padlock that tells me to go to advanced settings (but it wont let me play games online :0). Help anyone?

 

Grey lock means your router is using a security setting that isn't compatible with the DS.

I think nintendo's website has some very in depth connection tutorials.

 

...if it's a dsi, you can link up to it...


But only to view the shop channel, the browser, and (when they come) dsi powered games (ie only for dsi, has dsi features, etc)


If you, for example, try to connect to that router with pokemon diamond, it's a no go...


I have a dsi and have tested this-2 downloaded games from the shop, several sites viewed and confirmed an already confirmed fact about (currently) all DS games, well....I can't be wrong...




Short answer-not on the current DS games, but prehaps the future DSi games...

 

I think nintendo said when the DSi came out that it would support the newer security types. But that the old games would not be able to use them.

 

That is correct
