Yea, it's reeaaally hard to play some games with a half-broken L button. My DS is pre-owned, when I got it I tried to play some MarioKart with my friends and family, that's when I realised the L button was f**ked. (And for those people who are wondering I should have gotten 1st place if it wasn't for the blue shell and mushroom.) I know you can use the X button for mario kart, but for other games it can be a real pain in the back side. So is there a way to fix this? I'm losing every time because I can't drift, hold an item on my back and hold A at the same time. Tanks yous.
same thing happened to me. i was ready for a new one. The L button is actually a tiny gray dot the white button clicks down. Your button might just be missing the dot when you click it. Or the little dot could be f'd. You can pop the button up to check the dot and see if its clicking up and down. After i messed with it a couple times it started to work 100%, and still does.
I had the exact same problem with my DSi ! How unfortunate..my younger sis pawned me in Bleach because she could do the Line Jump whenever she wants and avoid all my attacks while I can only stay on 1 line hardly jumping to the other line.. and also Mario Kart ! though I didn't know I could use the X button xD but still.. it's easier if the L button is working fine for me..I've googled for solution and I've found out that if I blow really hard into the L button it works but only for a while..and then the stupid problem occurs again it really bugs me
