Ok here's my problem. Yesterday my computer was all fine and the CPU-usage was always around 0. But now its always 100% and whitout virusses. The main things that are slowing my comp down are SearchIndexer.exe, explorer.exe and fahcore 78.exe and i dont want to delete them. Pls help...

searchindexer.exe is microsoft indexing service. It is next to useless so you can disable it. In control panel, go to administrative tools, double click on services. When the window opens, scroll down until you find 'indexing service' and open the properties. Click the stop button and change the startup type to 'disabled'. Apply and close the service manager.

explorer.exe is the windows taskbar, start menu and windows explorer/my computer windows. Not much can be done about it, however the high CPU usage will generally be caused by something else.

fahcore 78.exe is folding at home, this is designed to use spare CPU cycles when the computer is idle, to help with cancer research. This program will probably show as using all your CPU, however when you start using the computer it will yield so there should be no impact on your use of the computer. If you want it to stop completely, change it to run in screensaver mode only.

IMO, you probably shouldn't use Folding@Home unless your processor can actually handle it :p .If you've got toolbars or other things that run under Windows Explorer, you can turn those off as well. Turn off Indexing Service and use a decent, small search program instead of windows search.
