My computer is constantly turning off. Usually when i plug in my sd-card reader my computer just shuts off then turns itself back on. When my computer finished loading i get this message. Sometimes shuts off when I am on msn. Thanks in advance, AcroneSF
Sounds like a power supply issue, did you build your computer custom?? Do you know your power supply wattage, what type of CPU, and motherboard you are using? Thanks
No idea on my power wattage. And no, my computer is a very old compaq desktop pc. Here is some extra info:
you can see it when you take the cover off your cpu then look at the box with wires connected on it you can identify its the power supply then its wattage is written there
I have an old compaq presario also... mine used to do that if I plug in either a USB stick or my SD card, it has something to do with the drivers I believe... What it's doing is shutting off to prevent it from going to the blue screen of death and potentially damaging your computer. Windows is conflicting with the device, so try another device, and if it does the same thing, you should either reinstall windows, or see if there are any updates/patches that can fix it. I reinstalled because I didn't feel like searching for a possibly temporary fix, now it works with no problems
Mine does the exact thing! Half of the time when i plug in my sd card reader it suddenly shuts off. Also from time to time it shuts off when im on msn Usually after windows loads up again i get this error:
try a different PSU if you can, my less than 6 month old corsair PSU started going wrong so my machine randomly shut off, it got to the point were every boot it shut off as soon as windows started loading. I replaced the PSU and its fine now.
Might possibly be some corrupt files, which could explain the issue with the USB device drivers. Not sure about the error message though... but I do remember having the same messages as the first 2 pictures you posted... try reinstalling the drivers, and programs that you are having problems with
