My comp says my sd card is broke and so does my r4

    Ok my comp says that my sd isn't formatted and asks if I want too do it know.
    Though it's full of games and stuff should i format or not?

    Well. Backup the files, THEN format :D

    Can you open to see the files at all?

    What does your comp say exactly?


    And here's a pro tip-backup your games and saves often.

    2 options-backup the entire contents every few months and place them in an external drive that's not powered and don't touch until it's needed (and a good brand as well) or as I do-just backup the games-so you don't waste bandwidth downloading it all again.

    If your games are just in the sd card then I suggst not crying if they get deleted-my brother's acekard went bezerk one day and all it left was part of a homebrew game-all games saves and even the firmware was gone!

    ..imagine the horror...

    Well yeah kepp that in mind for next time.

    can't backup but I already formatted but now my r4 is totally empty

    Thats why you should always backup just in case this happens

    You'll have to re-install the firmware, when you purhcased the R4 card package you should hve obtained some software or something, maybe a disk.. If not then you can obtain some from the website provided in anandjones signature which is Here
