hmm, you could try fantasy star zero but for 2p you need to unlock the levels to play, but I won the game and me and my brother play it a far bit (he doesn't have to have the levels you do)
You could try Children of Mana. That's similar to Soma Bringer, although with 2D graphics instead of 3D.
