MSN Webcam help

    hi um..im having problems with my Acer Aspire 5740G built-in Webcam.
    I want to do a video call but it doesn't work.
    I have the newest MSN Messenger with Live plus. (v.9.0)
    I can only use my webcam when i click on my friends webcam and say that i want to see it. Then i click on my own and it works.
    The options and stuff on MSN says that my webcam is working perfectly. How can i solve it? Thanks in advance.

    is there no webcam icon next to your display picture before you press the one next to your friend's display picture?

    there is a webcam picture next to my dp. but the "show my webcam" is grey, like i can't click it.
