No matter what I'm doing, my msn keeps singing out, lucky for me it's not really being used and has held up during chats... But it's getting on my nerves! Facts. -Don't know if latest but I would assume it is since it was downloaded by my mates who also... -Installed windows 7 OS -Using a laptop -And it's (for once) NOT my internet. I may be using wireless broadband, but it seems to be cutting out every few seconds...and yet my net surfing hasn't been affected (I left the facebook tab open, and while my chat thing is online it would remain so, but the msn would have said it's been disconnected). And it can't sign back in on it's own as well for some reason, I watch it try to re-connect, and it would say "waiting XXX" yet when I check my net status it's net enabled... If anymore info is required, feel free to ask, but I know it's not my net :
Erm... Have you tried to run a virus scanner? trendmicro is a good online scanner that picks up the more obscure virus' such as the msn ones. It could very well but be an issue with the wireless internet too, however I have wireless internet and usually my browsing cuts out before my msn does... Try going to [tools] then [options] , [connection] and run the connection troubleshooter
The trouble shooter picks up nothing everytime... I don't know why but it has been stable recently, so this isn't a concern anymore...maybe it was the wireless cutting out for a brief moment or something on the msn server.
No I think you're right, I think it is connection related. More so the quality of the connection. Because I have lots of friends that run on wired and wireless connections (Not at the same time obviously and neither the same person). But they too will automatically sign out every now and then and it drives me MAAAAAAD... Mine on the other hand doesn't do it at all... I think it's down to the quality of the connection and the Internet Server Provider.
Thing is, I'm using the same device as before and isp...I oly suspected an issue because I've moved to windows 7.
I was using horrible vista... I THINK I got it worked out, not sure how it fixed it's self, but during one of the blue screens we encountered upon first windows 7 start up, some files got deleted (I can't use a 505mg microsoft office program without the setup.exe ). All I know is that it works-and keep in mind it's not a router I'm using, it's a mini usb device, if that cuts out it fully disconnects the entire network meaning I have to click on the program for it to re-connect again.
