Movies on R4i cards new to this

    Hi all any help would be great new to this I was told that you can put movies on to r4i cards just started with games any help please keep up the good work load of info here

    there are many different homebrews that play video. The best one is moonshell which plays .dpg a converter comes bundled with it to convert videos to that format. You can also get Tuna-vids. Tuna plays MP4's and AVI's in the divx codec i believe

    Yes you can but you have to convert the movie into dpg format which is easy if you follow these steps:
    1 download a dpg converter/encoder. (you can find one on google)
    2. after dowloading it extract all files into a folder.
    3. load up dpgenc into the folder you extracted it into.
    4. browse for the video file you want to convert into dpg.
    5. after you found the video file you want click on the convert button.
    6. now you'll see the video preview.
    7. after thats done go into your R4 card and make a new folder called MOVIES or VIDEOS.
    8.put the dpg file into your MOVIES or VIDEOS folder.
    9. you will need moonshell for this.
    10. load your video from moonshell and enjoy. (hope this helps)

    here is an alternative for your r4 for playing movies.....if you can, buy an IPLAYER heres where i got mine,,,,

    it plays a lot of movie formats......i filled up an 8gb sd card in no time....... :)

    just drag and drop ,no fiddling with coverting,like the PSP
