Hello-I had more in the older thread but I forgot where it is Anyway, my first ebay purchase came in...a psx memory card. And paypal reports payment is "complete". But one problem-nothing is shown in my online statment about it-other than a differing "accout balance" than "availble funds" (what is the differance-I'm mising $100 for some reason and the statment shows nothing). Also the biggest one-I ahd not yet completed the bank confirmation process-just incase when I started I put my debit card on it as my main card-then I used the bank account it's self as the secondary (it's all the same money)... So....my new questions... 1.Since I lack the statement saying it's been paid-but pay pal saying it is-did the seller get hsi money? 2.Should I have done the bank confirmation before hand? 3.Will I get into trouble at all via this? 4.I noticed an "avaible funds" viewer on pay pal-nothing there-am I meant to leave money on that? Yes, it takes a few days for the payment to show on your bank statement. 2) no 3) no, everything is working as it should 4) no, thats generally for when people send you money. Available funds is your balance that can be used, i.e any pending transactions (such as paypal) are deducted. Available balance is the money you have.
Ok cool... Just curious-I'm getting the stuff I got before it showed up on my bank statment-was worried because online it should be instant-guess it isn't. Thanks looney once more
the paypal bit is instant, bank transfers rarely are, and if you used your debit card they take 3-5 days.
I use a debit card-but it's using my real money Well it should go thru-bank statment got my work uniform (also online) on it-though not thru pay pal. I hope those come thru soon.
debit cards are essentially electronic cheques (checks for americans). There is a 3 day delay between you using it and the transaction showing on your statement.
Righty oh-then in a few hours it would be 3 days But what if it doesn't show-what can I do to ensure it's paid.
It must be-my avaible funds have went down $100-and before that it went another $100 (even though I swear it should only go down about $60 at least). And it still hasn't come up in my transactions.
I checked-they are correct... I just got no clue on why it changed so quickly-avalible funds in account went down from 662 to 524 and today (as predicted due to item cost) 402. I only bought 2 items-one is 90-one is 20-one is 30. Doesn't add up right?
