monitor flipping out

my monitor keeps going black for about 3 seconds and then comes back, sometimes it even dies out

 

Did you check to see if your monitor cable was loose?

 

Maybe a hardware piece gets overheated...

 

it goes blank, aka black, and i already checked the monitor cable, its fine, maybe a short circuit or something

 

Have you checked the pins inside the piece at the end of the monitor cable?
If those are damaged, it will give you some problems.

 

Try with another monitor, if it still happens, it may be your graphic card.

 

We had this same problem with my dads pc and moniter. We swapped moniters and now it has no troubles at all.
It could be compatibility issue. That was the basic problem for us. :-\

What type/brand is the computer

 

Got the same problem. With printers. Seems like Dell Printers don't work very well with an Compaq PC

 

i have IBM PC and PanaSync SM70 monitor, its been working fine for the last few months

 

Did you try another monitor yet?

We are not gonna post in this thread until he confirms he tried another monitor.

 

Don't have any more monitors, i guess i have to wait until my dad brings one from work.
