Mod Chips for a PSX

Does anyone know a good place to buy these? I found a white slimline PSX at a garage sale and it isn't chipped. The games it came with are scratched like anything and don't read and I've also got various downloads (from this fine establishment) that i've been emulating on my PC. I'd be able to solder it myself I just need the chip. Any ideas?

Also I know it's possible to make your own chip using an PIC chip, again any suggestions on how to do this and what chip to use could also be equally useful.

Hard modding a PSX slim is one of the hardest consoles to mod, just becuase of it's size. You have to be really confident and experienced if your going to hard mod a PSX slim on your own.

There is a disc swap trick you can do, which costs nothing....and only needs a little bit of practise. Just check out you tube for it.

^That basically involves a stick etc. to keep the disc spinning, and a genuine game.
