mmorpgs future for ds

who thinks that mmorpgs will in the future come to the ds if there is already one wow i never new but im talking like The Mana World or Runescape type thing for the ds that kind of mmorpg...

 

It would lag like hell and how are they going to do updates?
Unless its a DSi only,and that sucks...
And don't forget those crazy ARers...

Well, I heard that Maple Story is going to hit the DS shortly... Probably next year...

Oh, just FYI, there's already Ragnarok Online for DS in Japanese and we'll get the English version at the end of the year, if I'm not mistaken.

 

Ragnarok Online can play multiplayer by 4 players I think.

Yes to the DSi only mmorpg! I'm elitist now. Though I don't have a ds YET.

They will have a hard time cheating too. It would have the same mechanics as an actual mmorpg. There is a server and all processes are server-side only.

 

Ragnarock's more like a mini-MMO.
You can only play online on the tower

 

But those can't be called MMOs
They are smth like Phantasy Star Zero DS - it's based on MMO, but you can't play it with more people than 2 (or 3. I don't remember)
I don't think there will ever be any true MMO on DS, it would be laggy and full of cheaters.

I think Maple Story will be pretty weird on DS... Ragnarok was a bit of a pain.

 

thats kinda cool about maple story, tried that out once but never really got into it...but hmm if you think of how laggy it is with just one other person on crystal chronicles..damn doesn't seem so promising for any other mmo type games to surface

less they come out with super 5 times better magic ds

Perhaps when Nintendo DS 2 will come. Heard rumours about upcoming DS 2 but ... nah... it's just rumours anyway.

 

I hope it won't come out soon. I hate changing consoles, and I don't have much money now. My parents never give me cash for videogames

 

You cant have mmorpg's but you can have mmo's.
Imagine a lobby system with Worms, CoD or Fifa. Max up to 6 players.
Only MP.
