this is a complete redo (forgot latency issues) first, a user will post PVP challenge on this topic and name of MMORPG. next another user will post to accept and they will PvP. if one user wins, they will say so and I will post it up here
Re: Quakelive PvP Quake Live doesn't have a good lobby system. You can't really auto join a friend's match. Plus, you forgot latency issues.
PvP in general is bad in MOST games. Some games pull it off really well. Don't know how though. Something like player to environment to player or something. But if you live in let's say North America, Your ping would be around 120-150 to me. Which can make PvP really bad.
MMORPGs are much less affected by high latency than MMOFPS games. I can play WoW at almost 1 second latency with little trouble.
That also depends on each person's location. Take GunZ for example. You may not have heard of it, it's an MMOThirdPersonShooter. Latency is really an issue in that game, as it really depends if the person gets hit at all. Also, for MMORPGs like World of Warcraft and Perfect World, some people have very slow response rate in PvE. In Perfect World, It can take a full 2 seconds for the spell to even start to charge up. I'm afraid to see how PvP works in that game.
They don't. Or its a grind fest. Or its a raping festivals of 20~30 players banded together killing anyone they see on sight.
