im looking for a good worth while mmo/mmorpg, one that you dont have to pay for or one that wont limit your game experience too much if you dont pay. i dont really care what type it is aslong as it isen a social mmo(like secondlife). got any suggestions? thanks in advance ones i allredy been through; World of Warcraft, runescape, pirates online, Tails of pirates, Disneys virtual magic kingdom, and quake live
I haven't tried it yet but many people like CJ love Perfect World Online, maybe you should give it a go. Another MMO I did try once was Nostale, the game doesn't have stunning eye candy graphics & the gameplay's kinda kiddie oriented, but the gaming community they have is awesome.
how dos the game play? it looks great but the site dosent tell you what the game play is like. do you control army's?
its like wow, but the quests are harder and you need help from other player to manage some of them. There is one archlord every month and he has special talents for this time. To became Archlord you have to fight with your guild against others. The winning guild can choose one of them to be Archlord for 30 days. I cant explain it very well in english but on youtube are videos of these big fights. You can control your character with WASD, but this lags sometimes for me and I prefer to walk around by clicking on the ground with my mouse.
Hmmm try Guild Wars! I have beaten the first 3 campaigns, haven't gotten to the 4th, but they were great games. You have to buy the game to get an account, after that there is no monthly fee, so its free after your initial purchase.
www.onrpg.com has a list of all the free to play and pay to play MMOs these days, with reviews and screen shots and user reviews of each so you know what you're getting into =p My suggestion is Atlantica online, great turn-based combat, very fun and unique.
Perfect World is not bad at all. I would recommend Guild Wars although you do have to buy the game you do not pay a monthly fee, has the best (optional) PvP system in any MMO I have ever played. Mind you, allot of people say guild wars is technically not an MMO due to instanced gameplay, still a good game though. Haha knighroad you beat me to mention Guild Wars Edit: Forgot to mention Anarchy Online, old but still worth a play if you like sci-fi games.
yeah i loved WoW but i ran out of game time and havent been out to buy more and because i am not able to play WoW i tried a game called Shaiya - it's not bad but it's nothing on WoW, try it anyway - it's free (and i think its a 1.4gb download)
