I've just gotten the Microsoft Games for Windows LIVE and was wondering something. Could somebody please tell me what folder it downloads the games to exactly?
To be perfectly honest, I'd say the "games" folder if your using vista/windows 7 but that is a guess. Try typing in the game name after you downloaded it and you'd be taken to where it's exactly stored. Sorry if I lack info, I don't download from them but it's a logical deduction (prehaps wait for more responses)
what's the name of the game? I always use the search function, it's only let me down once (because the file was...given a name unrelated to the actual program name).
I've already sent my puppy to go fetch it and he couldn't find it. But to answer your question it's Tinker! ;v) He's just the cutest little bot! ;v)
Right you need to download to 2 locations. C:\Program Files C:\Users\(YOUR USERNAME)/Games If the games folder aint there create it.
OMG I found it! ;v) They hid it away in C:\Documents and Settings\******\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\GFWLive\Downloads\Content. It's one of the hidden files in our personally named folder. And if you're wondering what those astericks are that's my real name. See I got to thinking. MAYBE I can't find it because it IS hidden! So I fixed that in my folder options and BAM, there it was! ;v) Thanx, guys! ;v)
LOL No, silly! ;v) I was meaning where does that downloader save it to! ;v) LOL And you boys call us girls silly! ;v)
With a normal download, you can choose where it goes... But if it's a special then it should say where it's going, or give you some control. Well glad you found it all the same
I have Windows 7, sounds like you have XP. When I had XP, windows live games went in the games folder or programfiles folder. Now, in Windows 7, it is exactly the same.
Yes I'm still using XP. I still think it's nice and besides, Windows 7 won't install on my computer for some stupid silly reason! Makes me so mad!
You can't do an upgrade. You need to back up all your data and do a clean install. You can use Windows Easy Transfer to move your whole user folder and more into a Portable Hard drive, and then install it. You need 1Ghz of processor speed and 512MB of RAM. I think.
