microSD Change Causing Choppy Gameplay

I recently changed from a 1GB microSD to a 4GB microSD, and for some reason, I've been experiencing choppier gameplay with PuzzleQuest 2 on the 4GB, especially with moving around the map. I tried a different game to see if the choppiness was still there, but it seems to be only with PuzzleQuest. Is there a reason for the choppiness, and is there a way to fix it somehow?

(I'm using an Acekard2i with the latest firmware on it.)

Move all of your stuff to a new location off of the microSD, reformat the microSD, and put everything back on.

Also, it is common for larger capacities to have slower speeds. I think it's due to the quality of the microSD card.

I've noticed that my 16 GB microSD is a tad bit slower than my 1 GB microSD, but I can only notice it when saving a game like Pokemon where the save is really drawn out. It really boils down to the quality of the microSD.
