Hi, I need some help with my Micro SD Card.(Kingston)
I've had it for about a year now, and it always worked fine, but now when I put it in the SD card adapter, it can't read it.... But when I tried it on my sister's laptop(I tried it on my computer several times) It recognized it, but it said I had to format it. So nevertheless, I clicked format, since no matter how many times I tried to put it in, the same message displayed. So when it formatted, a window popped up saying: ''The format didn't work" or something like that. So I put the micro SD in my DS. Now, when I start it up, the only thing the R4 is saying is: Loading.
    Can anyone help me?

Sounds like your MicroSD may have failed. They don't last forever.

    Try a new one.

    Sometimes.
Sectors get corrupted, then it can no longer read it.

You can try using the SD formatter.

    Yes sadly...

I lost my scandisk one after 2 years...

It corrupted after a failed attempt to dump a ds rom..

And now the laptop struggles to even read it-cant be formatted :(

It happens-just get a new one and hope you have some cash incase it happens again...

and back up the files so as not to loose everything.

Please do not post in all capital letters.

There is no real way to prevent it from failing. Obviously the more you use it (read/write) the faster it will fail. The technology only has a certain number of read/write cycles on it's life (it is a large number, but it is a limit). Some last longer, some don't last as long. Using windows "quick format" I believe is a bad idea due to the way it formats it. Formatting is best done with the SD formatter, like linked earlier. But a normal "Format" from Windows doesn't really hurt it.

The best thing to do is to keep an up to date backup of games and save files and any other important stuff kept on your MicroSD.
