Micro Schc mini card Help.

So I got this 4GB Mini SDHC card that won't format. I've got the compatible reader, windows (vista) sees the card, says I have to format it to use it, then when I go to format the card, it says Windows can't format the card. It isn't write protected. Any ideas

I tried this with Fat 32 Default. still no work.

No not used I got it with my R4, not even a month old. You might be right.

Now it says remove write protected and I have no clue how to do so.

Check to see if there is a small plastic switch on the card along the side- or an area where one may have broken off. Switch it if found.

 

There's no switch on the mini 4gb schc card. :'(

Wait, he said he got it with his r4. How is a sdhc card able to work on an r4?

He never said that, just said R4 which could mean a variety of r4s. R4 III,SDHC ,UPGRADE,i GOLD and alot more.

so there is no write protection switch on the side of your adapter for your micro sdhc?

 

Yes there is, but I was using the reader to Format. When I try to Format on my Windows. It would say " Windows can not Format" I try the Sdch Formater, and it says " Sd card is Write Protected". I'm pretty sure the mini Sd 4gb card is just broke.

 

Formatting involves writing to the card. Flip the switch.
