Metal gear rom

i cant seem to make my metal gear rom to run using my epsxe emulator do i need to change name on it or make it a IMG file?

 

Which metal gear is this? What is the original extension?

 

when i downloaded it i just got a file no rar or some thing Mzk2MDI2NDE5MDQyNzUyOTM2NQ== thats the file i downloaded

 

and its metal gear solid to playstation 1

 

That's probably part of your own personal link, sometimes download managers don't correctly name them. Try naming it to metalgearsolidetc.7z, and then extract it.

it doesnt work im playing the disc 2 and when im going down the elevator thingy the whole game just cranks up and it stops i have to reload from the last save to play again and when i go down again it cranks up again and so on why is it doing that and why dont i have any sound on the disc 2

 

yea disc 1 works fine ive played it through and got to disc 2 and it started to bug the ePSXe 1.6.0 with peops sof driver 1.17 peops audio driver 1.9 and with peops cd driver 1.4

 

still the same prob but i get to files one is the img file of the disc and the other file what is that spose to be a sub or some thing els mine i .cue atm witch i dont thingk i right :O

There is now way to fix this at the moment, BUT you can use take a save state OR a regular mem card save then transfer to a DIFFERENT emulator and then switch to disk 2 then switch back to your original emulator then load save state/mem card file and play without problems. The problem is you have to beat it in one go. If you save or exit emulator it will crash. Can't use save states either, it will mess up the game permanently.

 

.sub comes standard with .img. Make sure they are in the same folder too.
