Can anyone tell me why I can only use about 14gb of my 16gb micro sd? After that it claims to be full and won't let me add anymore roms!?!?
    Thanks....

A 16GB MicroSD is really usually around 16,000,000,000bytes (maybe a bit more). Comes down to around 14.9GB or so.

This is a Marketing thing... There are 1024bytes in a Kilobyte, but when sold, 1000bytes are marketed as a Kilobyte. So when you start getting higher and higher, the difference is more noticeable.

    Edit:
had to fix a bits/bytes typo.

Operating Systems recognize a megabyte as 1024 kilobytes. Storage mediums base it as 1000 kilobytes. If you buy a 250 gigabyte harddrive, that size is recorded as a megabyte that equals 1000 kilobytes. In Windows/reality, it really only shows up as/is 213GB etc. This is after a formatted capacity.

Kilo is the prefix denoting 1000, so it's technically correct. The proper metric prefix in this context is kibi, but kibi and kilo are pretty much synonymous here so it's still a rather dodgy marketing tactic.

    IIRC.
