memory card problem

my epsxe wont detect and memory cards at all im using the epsxe the newest one and it allows me to save on ff7 like there is on but when i try to load it the data aint thre and i dont understand the save state thing.. help maybe?

 

If i remember correctly you have to create a memory card, just google it. was pretty simple
