I noticed that below our nicks there's a member classification that first starts out as "servant" that later changes to a handheld gamer, retro gamer etc. How do you change that? The servant rank I figured first changes when you've posted a certain amount of "posts" on the different forums & threads, but how do you get other ranks, does it have something to do with what content you've DLed from the site? Coz umm... Although I've mostly DLed games for handhelds, I definitely am not a handheld gamer, I don't even have any handhelds even. I am an emu-gamer though coz the truth is I have problems "seeing" games in miniscule. that is I have difficulties seeng games on a handheld, I have myopia or near sightedness so I can't quite see the visuals on Handhelds especially text, so I rely on emulators to play games like Pokemon. And also, that's why I'm anxious for the release of a "polished" & perfected NDS & PSP emu. I may also be considered a retro gamer since I play SNES & Famicom titles again on emulators since my old Famicom had already died on me plus some Japanese titles were translated to english,as for the SNES, my console still works so does my Super UFO Pro8 game copier/loader but that can't run some games that uses certain graphics chips so again, I rely on an emu. I also have a PSOne & Have mostly CDs so I've no need for an emu for that but once my console croaks I probably will need one. In summation: if it is at all possible I'd like to be classified as an "emu gamer" or "retro gamer" which ever is applicable.
Hehe I kinda noticed that when I posted my 100th post. So its kinda like "leveling up" in an rpg, the more exp. (posts) you have the higher your rank kewl!!
Another question. What are those colorful circles below one's rank?? What significance does each color have???
I believe red means the user is an administrator, blue means they are a moderator, and green means that they are a premium member. Grey just means that they are a regular member.
Born2killx is correct, and they are known as 'stars'. The number you have reflects your rank (as discussed above) and the colour reflects your usergroup
So we have both a Rank system & a caste system on the forum kewl!!! All hail the mighty Red stars we grey stars must bow before our red masters hehe Kewl!!! ;D
Just a suggestion: Since there are 4 types of usergroups as loonylion said, why not use the 4 card suits instead of those "stars", Admins are Hearts or the Aristocrats, Moderators Diamonds or the Clergy, Spades or swords, the knights, the Premium users & clubs, the peasants, us regular users. That way, things will be more amusing. I got the idea since this was a gamer's site so why not add elements of games to define individual users.
I think that is a cool idea, you've got my vote! If it matters any... There I poked my head out of my cave for a minute. K I'm goin back.
