Hey there. I just recently DL Mega Man Legends from the UK server and the .img won't play past the Capcom logo. It skips a few frames, and some frames have large green pixel boxes before it just shuts down. I've tried re downloading it with different downloading programs. Every time i do the file sizes are the same and they match up with the file info from the game's info page. I do not believe I'm getting an incomplete dl. I'm running PCSX on Ubuntu 9.04. Other games do no have this trouble. Is there a way to do a checksum on the file and compare it to what the img is suppose to be? if it is a corrupt file, is there a way for me to get my points back?
It is very likely the emulator that is causing the issue, not the file. If it extracted from the zip/rar/7zip file then the download was not corrupted or incomplete, and the IMG is most likely good. I know you are using PCSX because you are running Ubuntu, but PCSX is not the best PSX emulator available. What graphics plugins are you using? (Can PCSX even change plugins/settings?)
I suggest using a better emulator like epsxe or PSX. epsxe: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psx/epsxe.html PSX: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psx/psx_em.html Hope this helps. Edit: Forgot to tell you it works on the latest epsxe program (for me atleast)
