Some people may know that a few weeks (or months) ago, my Laptop crashed. The good news is that my laptop has been fixed and im back online once again . I'm gonna get it in an hour, they have some 'administration' to do. Anyway, they replaced the motherboard and flashed the BIOS. Can anyone give me an explanation about this?
flashing the BIOS means updating the software in the BIOS ROM, which is what allows the machine to start. It tests all hardware and checks for an operating system, then hands over control to the OS boot loader. Flashing a BIOS chip can be dangerous as if the flash fails (i.e power failure during process, incorrect or corrupt image file or other problem) the machine will most probably be rendered unusable.
Thanks I'm back to spamming the threads and disobeying about, well, every rule there is(except 'four letter words') @Loonylion: Thanks for the explanation, i helped me a LOT, and i mean it.
Don't know how people get confused with Seph and Loonylion, anyways good to see you got it fixed I guess.
