Hi everyone ! God Bless all of you guys that have solved all issues with these R4i-cards. I have followed all tips and tricks but I still got problems with my R4i-SDHC device. I have a R4i-card labeled 1.4V(I guess its version 1.4) , anyhow , when I have formated my micro sd-card a put all files needed to run my DS I still got this message. The message will appear as a red sd-card icon with "MENU" ? Some more info........this card is bought in China..........could it be a clone? Any more suggestions ? I´m soon starting to dispair
The R4i IS a clone of the R4. But it should still work fine. And the "menu?" thing usually shows up if you have the wrong dat. files/ missing menu.dat files. As long as you have everything safely tucked in, it should work.
the menu? thing is because you need the original card's firmware to run ttmenu. once you have it you have to change ttmenu.dat to ttmenu.nds and run ttmenu from the r4 firmware, as if it were a rom
http://r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp As you can see, there's a section for cards with the 1.4 mark on it. Download the latest firmware(kernel) in whatever language you prefer, delete everything in your micro SD card to prevent the .dat files from mixing up, and copy-paste everything in.
I have tried to download R4i V1.29b and changed the name of the files from .dat to .nsd.............still doesn´t work = red icon + MENU
Now I have formated the sd-card and copied the files in to the root. In the root its a folder called English , under that one its a lot of folders and files.............do I need to do something?
Done...............shouldn´t I change some dat-files to nsd-files ? now I´m ready for the next step
make a folder called games or NDS so you know where you put the game.then put the game card in your dsi and try.
Now I´m crying of hapiness......................it´s working. I´m very , very greatful..................u r the KING.
