Mario partyds - link play?

Hi,
can anyone help please? I am having difficulties with mario party ds "multiplayer" mode ( I am running it off of supercard ds one with a kingston 4gb memory card with the latest supercard os)
I select multiplayer, it finds my other ds lite, which accepts download but when I click "ok" on the host ds the software freezes on guest ds and the message
"A communication error has occurred.You will now return to the main menu." appears on the host ds - they are well within acceptable proximity so I am stumped
I have tried both european and american versions of roms - any ideas please?

 

Hm, is this Single card sharing play, or does the other DS have the same ROM?

 

It is single card link play, ( there does not appear to be a dual card play mode) although both of the ds's have their own respective supercard with the same roms on, one ds has it's card removed to allow for download link play.

 

Did you select the download play option from the Supercards patch menu?

 

Ok, I've downloaded the supercards manual and re-read it , but I can't find any info on enabling download/link play, please help further it sounds promising ( apologies if I require spoonfeeding very new to this)

 

No problem I was the same way. To activate this is very simple. When browsing through your files highlight the game you want to set download and play on and press L + X and you should see the patch options. Tap the Fix Downplay button and then click save. Now the Download and play should work. Hope this helps.
