mario and luigi super star saga not running on no$gba

    I downloaded mario and luigi super star saga's rom and tried to play it with my no$gba, but when I choose a profile to start the game it shows a pop-up message that says:
    "no gba fatal
    the rom image has crashed"

    I really like this game and wanted to play it again, so, if someone knows how to fix this, please, let me know

    what, of all that info, is exactly what I need? there are too many stuff there and most of them are for nds games so

    If you use no$gba2.6a and play it though no$zommer , then edit no$zoomer.ini file edit usecrypt=0 to usecrypt=1 and save ini file , also have firmware.bin in same folder as the emulator , reset emulator and re-run the game
