Maple Story DS

Anyone heard about this? I just learned about it today and was curious as to who had seen this

It's not out Globally yet. It just came out in Korea this month.

Maple story is an free 2d mmorpg for computer. Basically you just kill monster, talk to friends, and tha'ts just it. check on wikipedia for Maple story ds for more info. Some people find this game addictive.

 

i also remember hearing a ragnarok online DS in development, anyone got info on that?

 

I used to be a massive RO fan If this is true, and it doesn't cost anything after purchase, it's great news!

As for Maple, I'd play that as well, I used to be a BETA member of Maple.

So err maplestory ds and ragnarok online ds are BOTH coming out in 2008!
Maplestory : 3th quarter of 2008
Ragnarok : 1st quarter of 2008 (probably in february/march)

Interesting.. What's your source mekusho? I've seen Maplestory DS adverts, but nothing of RO. And RO is scheduled to come out first? That's odd.

 

the only problem I'd have with this is if i had to register "my" software. like with some sort of code on the inside of the box. the I'd actually have to BUY the game. I sure hope not

 

^ i doubt it somehow, It would be WiFi just like all the other DS games, and if they did bring out something like that then im sure someone will either post a rego code with the rom or create a keygen.

There wouldn't be "patches" per say. At least they wouldn't be patches like we're used to for MS and RO. I've read that there will be separate servers for the DS versions of the game which regular players could also access and interact with you on your DS. Though people on their DS would be recognized by a special code. (I don't want to call it a hash code but it almost is like one.) That code would tell the MS and RO servers your on to apply the updates to your account. Of course they could also just re-release it like AC and Pokemon for the DS, under the 1.1 label but I think that would be pretty tedious for every minor update. (If any of you understood that, props to ya.)

And yes Seph, RO is coming out completely free to play but sports a price tag, much like the browser did.
