Ok...not sure wether emulation news or just here is the best place to post...but it's a good and bad thing.

Good-nintendo is cracking down as normal, protecting their property, and laying the smackdown on someone lucky enough to get a pre-release copy.

Bad-This may one day be the fate of all uploaders-even small time people like...me :(

My mother called me when she saw this on the news, and rightfully so...

I wonder if all those other sites that may have a copy might get shut down themselves.

Most of what I say is opinion though...so what are your thoughts on this aussie betting fined?

well serves him right i say, if you do the crime you pay the fine

well on the other hand why would he upload it, if i was him i would take the game and keep it secret

    Sucks to be him.

I'm going light on my uploading from now on just because I don't feel comfortable with it. :(

I have guide lines to good uploading, I learnt from other websites on the best ways...safe tip i can give here is to use only older games no one cares about.

Safest is to not upload altogether :p

(Most of the romU uploaders would be getting pre-release games, so this is a matter concerning them)

I wonder if hes got the $1.5 million available to pay the fine-and HTF anyone expects him to pay if he hasnt.

Another thing about these cases is how can they finalise some figure. They cant prove what theyve lost out on sales-how do they know that because someone got it for free that they were going to buy it beforehand.

Anyway,it should be the ISP's that cop the fines-its them thats allowing all this copywright infringement to happen LOL
