Malware.sality

    anyone know how could I remove Malware.sality from a file without removing the file?

    you cant. the file IS the malware. It's not like a virus that can attach to other files.

    what the file extension and is it compressed..........

    because it is saying that Firefox.exe has a malware.sality

    Firefox is free.

    then you have a compromised version of firefox. Delete it and redownload. Assuming you're using a trustworthy antimalware program that is.

    Hmm... perhaps this is what's causing your USB related problem as well?

    Sad thing is according to most of the posts there the best course of action for you would be a full Hard Drive re-format :(
