dont really know where to put this but does anyone think theyll make an r4 for the 3ds or a different flashcart?
For the 3ds i think they would try to block any flashcard they can, most they would do is upgrate the firmware for thease cards so it will work on the new 3ds when it comes out Incase anyone don't know about it http://goodereader.com/blog/electronic-readers/nintendo-e-reader-for-new-3ds-planned/
^ Yeah, i heard using that wi-fi auto-connect feature they can stop roms from working. Something about the key of that game being taken off or something, so that same rom can't be used again elsewhere. Not exactly sure on the details though, or if it is a feature.
Wait until news comes along (probably on this site) when they have confirmed that there is a working flashcart for the 3ds and it's safe to use. As in, your 3DS won't get messed when you run the flash cart.
We don't even know what the cards look like. We don't even know the menu interface for a 3DS. Why bother asking these questions about flashcards for the 3DS when it's not even released? Just wait.
There were news about a little change to the cart shapes, but also I've heard it will be backwards compatible. http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/18/nintendo-3ds-game-cart-pictured-wireless-ebook-reader-on-tap/ there is a lot of Nintendo 3Ds news from E3 on Joystiq.com by the way, the device seems promising.
If Nintendo seriously cares about piracy they'd actually do a decent job of blocking flashcarts. Expect some difficulty or delay in 3DS flashcart development.
