making psp ctf themes...require help (again)

...the whole format thing bugs me to death, I got a "picture" converter program and I converted a png to...png, but to the size it ask (64 by 48 if I remember, it was correct size anyway) and the bit depth is 32 (I believe it's what's needed) and guess what...no go...it comes up with the "unsupported" error...

I'm using version 1.3.0.0 of the official sony ptf maker...

I also (from my current program) can't convert the pics I'm using to the other supported formats to test it (forgot the names, but the other supported ones are less well known) all i can get is the basics like "jpeg, bmp, gif, tiff" which aren't supported...


Is there a spefic program I MUST USE or is it my version playing up...I really want to make a tribute to nintendo thru theme (all the ones I seen suck to be honest...the buttons I'm using are awsome)
