Here are some updates for this wonderful remake of a great game ;D,thanks to Square Enix : Publisher: Square Enix Release Date: February 25, 2010 Images: =>More images Lufia: Estpolis DS: Images<= Info thanks to:IGN:Lufia: Estpolis DS
O________o wat Lufia II is easily one of the top ten RPGs, IMO. I'm just hoping they don't screw this up, since it's going to be an Action RPG, which don't exactly always mean 'fun'.
If the spell Beast still looks beautiful then I think I'll be fine with this remake. I still wished they didn't changed it to an ARPG though....
To be honest I'm unsure what to think of this. I loved Lufia 2 originally and constantly replay it. However the change to an ARPG throws me a bit, but I'm willing to give that a shot, it's the whole "re-imagining" of the story that I'm not keen on, while I agree with some that the ending may require some tweaking, the story during the game itself was something that stood out to me, and so I'm a bit unsure whether I'm going to like this change or not. Alas, in the end, all we can do is wait and see, I'll definitely be giving this game a shot though
As i can see, this game will have one of the best camera setting (after KH585/2D) for the NDS engine ;D
Yeah, because they're making it a fuckin' ARPG. DUDE - LOOK HOW WELL IT DID AS A JRPG It came 22nd on this list, even though it came out only ONE MONTH before the N64 in America. RPG Critic gave it a 10.5 / 11 ! On this list, it hit #2257 of the worlds best games, even though it's WELL OVER 10 years old. Gamestats' Press, Gamer and Overall score were 10, 8.9 an 9.2, respectively. An IGN review gave it 9.2 CBF with more details, will add them later
I'm not gonna condemn the game right off the bat but I'm admittedly a bit skeptical about the ARPG approach to one of my favorite JRPGs ever. It's been far too long since they released a decent Lufia.
Yeah, thirteen years to be exact (N) Bet you were excited when the GBC and GBA games came out, too, weren't you?
They should have stuck with a more traditional remake, like with the Final Fantasy games. That would be godly.
It may be true :-\,but about Final Fantasy, you mean the gameplay or the graphics :-\?Cause some final fantasy fans(including myself ) didn't liked the SD desing of the characters ......
I believe he meant the gameplay (Remain Turn-based) I wanted it in the original gameplay too, since I can't really enjoy the music when I'm busy dodging boss attacks =3=
