A note: Most of the firmware versions listed below are obsolete. There are newer versions for most, if not all of the listed firmwares that can for sure play this game. Always make sure you're on the latest firmware for your cart before making a comment.

Haha, thanks. I figured I would go ahead and get this out of the way. This thread was bound to pop up eventually.

I can confirm the ladder can be bypassed - just save everytime you get the chance and restart the DS and there should be few to no freezing issues. Currently on the third dungeon, the first one right after the second town. Any freezes were bypassed by saving before entering any area and resetting the DS. It seems the AP only activates on transitions, and yes, they can occur in the middle of towns as well when entering/exiting buildings (as I found out the hard way).

It seems to be based on event flags, after a certain number of consecutive events (5?) the game crashes and needs reset.

Unfortunately, the Tanbel Mines exceeds the number of "allowed" event flags before it crashes, so it crashes after the first minecart room.

    Random freezes on CycloDS B.4.

Battery saver and Stealth modes didn't help. Stealth mode wouldn't even let me get to the title screen.

wonder if a niche game like this will just become the next last window and we'll never get a patch

A note for all looking, there is no difference between the Likram dump and the iND dump. They are both clean dumps and both have the AP firmly intact. The only difference is that the iND dump is an official scene dump, thus it will probably come with an NFO and all that.

    What's NFO?

Still new to some of the terms.

Kined of like a text file very same - but you need to install a nfo-viewer to view it

    http://home.gna.org/nfoview/

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-tools/Text-editors/DAMN-NFO-Viewer.shtml

    It's just credits mostly

I actually have no idea what NFO stands for. :3

It's the document that comes with many scene dumps though that gives the info about the game and what the release group may have confirmed the game to work on flash cart wise.

They are nothing too important. They are more just to give credit to the group who dumped it more than anything.

Oh okay. Always wondered. Nice to know, although useless to me since I don't know how to dump or hack. :p

Jhon, have you ever read an NFO? They are nothing but credit to the dumping team. I've actually never seen an NFO used outside of scene game dumps.
