I'm looking for some games with low system requirements to put on my notebook and PC. Notebook is Pentium Dual Core 1.6 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, but otherwise shitty SiS Mirage 3 128 MB graphics. PC is Athlon XP 1600+, 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon 9250 with 128 MB. I'm not looking for spectacularly groundbreaking games, just games that are good and can run well on either computer. Any genre will suffice. Games already installed: Counterstrike 1.6, WC3, Audiosurf, World of Goo, Halo, Deus Ex
freelancer, divine divinity and beyond divinity, star wars knights of the old republic, max payne 1,2, obscure, fable, shadowground, septerra core, diablo 1,2, driver, freespace, sacred, silent hill 2,3. you may have a problem running star wars old republic. i had an ati 9800 pro and when i ran it the polygons were screwed up so i'm assuming it's a driver problem. i ran it on a geforce 6200 and it works flawlessly. this is when i started to dislike ati.
World of Warcraft can run on low end PCs, just don't expect to play very well if there is alot of people around =/
It's generally fine until you get to Shattrah City, then you suffer a massive framerate drop even if its empty.
A man after my heart! http://www.urbanterror.net The only game I ever really play seriously. (as in for more than 2 weeks) Going on 7 years now.
Alien Shooter Vengeance, Splinter Cell series (older ones), Half Life. KOTR is brilliant. Icewind Dale, Baldurs Gate 2, Black and White
Half Lifes 1 and 2 (Valve do really try and get their games to run on old PCs), you may be able to do TF2 or Portal, Civilization 4, S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow Of Chernobyl might do. I have quite a new PC so i'm not really sure on the min requirements of most games. P.S. The Movies is a really good game, it's made by Lionhead. It's a really great game and the online community for it is brilliant. Making 5 star movies is so entertaining and they are incredibly amazing. If you want to see some go to community.themoviesgame.com
Battlefield 1942. Awesome and still played very much, oh and download Forgotten Hope and Desert Combat for it, they're mods, and they're played the most, behind the original game though.
U could try Ragnarok Online, my computer's pretty old and slow but I can play it. Just search for private servers, the official server sucks.
Age of empires 1/2 AVP 1/2 Soldier of fortune 2 Star trek armada 1/2 Tribes: Vengeance Fallout 1/2/tactics Diablo 2 Chaser If in doubt you can still check if you can run some of the older games at PC requirements lab, just google it. You realize you can build a low budget rig for £400 and a low budget gaming rig capable of playing crysis on medium> for £750? obviously that means nothing if you haven't got the cash or can't spare what you do have but i reckon you could even upgrade your current rig to maybe oblivion standards for £100/£200.
pirates online(have to twek settings) and king of pirates online, and urban terror. thers a site called CAN you RUN it and it will tell you if you can run a game or not
