I get bored of new games rather quickly. It started a few months ago, and now I'm bored because a game can't interest me for more than a few hours. The only games that still don't bore me are the ace attorney games, but they are more books than games so that might be the reason.
Is or was anyone else going throught something similar? How long did it last and how did you get over it?
    I'm 14, if age matters.

If newer games are the problem.... Get some old ones... Like nes, snes and mame!!!! :D

The lost of will varies from person to person, like everything else, but yeah, lately games are kinda boring. The best way to get along with it, it's just simply have real life activities and play games with friends. Also playing online is another way to deal with it, the constant challenge makes even simpler game more enjoyable.

But I warn you, get away from those mmorpg... In my opinion they're just the worst boring games...

    Just find the right balance.

Ah well, I'm a rather casual gamer and I'm easily bored with slow games and I usually stop playing when the boss is too hard (or requires too much grinding), the dungeon is too long and complicated, and the next objective is uncertain.
Oh, and spoilers. It really ruin the fun.mA

At your age I'd assume you have a short attention span that's just comming up.

My brother is 13-he keeps swapping game to game-he never really finishes any...

If your an active kid then it's not a bad thing-get some sunlight, get fit and healthy-you'd feel better and you'd want to keep going XD

For me, I got bored of games quickly as well-I have 200 games that I paid for that are waiting to get beaten...

But only recently I found out what I'm best at-running around being active.

Sure I get tired...but after a few minutes-I want more XD

I have done hikes, long walks (10 hour type walks...with a 20KG back pack) Bike trails (40Kms-not far for some but for a newb like it it was alot...) and the odd excersise event...

Sure I'd be buggered-but after a few moments I'd want to get back into it...where's games are getting boring...

Hence why I avoid paying for games-I never finish them as my attention span for sitting in front of a tv has went...I don't even watch tv anymore.

BTW-I'm an active member here-one thing that I noticed is while during the day I'm active physically-at night I'd rather talk to friends-they keep changing every so often in post habits and moods so I'm never really bored-always a chat, always different subjects...

If goign crazy on facebook, myspace, the spam thread here or msn don't interest ya-try some sports...start slow-just hour walks-but try places you like...

My last long walk (10 hours with the heavy backpack) was JUST to go to a gaming event-I was loaded with controllers...

I couldn't be bothered to drive XD

(But the trip was more fun then the games funny enough)

    [Translation]

Prehaps it's a sign your not meant to be a gaming addict/god/hardcore gamer.

Try actually buying a game, you'll be playing it for a good bit longer that way. :)
It happens to everyone when they pirate games, they just don't assign any value to it any longer and loose interest far more quickly.

Cheats take all the challenge and fun out of a game...

Eh. I get bored playing DS games a lot these days, or any type of hand-held game really, pirated or not pirated. I've gotten back into playing Final Fantasy X & GTA again. But once Christmas comes around I'll have an X-Box so I'll be on that a lot.
I agree. Unless it's GTA, can't live without infinite ammo :p

    Go read a book then
Why bother playing games if you don't like games?

    then play music while reading

im more of a casual gamer so i've never been bored. only DS games i've ever completed are the world ends with you and metal slug 6

try online PC games (i dont mean MMOs) like S4, Exteel and war rock or maybe some thing with a massive mod community like jedi academy or quake. some pretty massive singleplayer mods. some even bigger than the original single player game

I disagree, Of the games I purchased recently I played about the same as any other game I've been playing.

Putting a price on an experience does not enhance it, If you're getting bored of games try different genres than you are used to or maybe try some cooking or something constructive if you've getting that bored. (and then play games again when you're bored of that)
