guys i have been losing points unnecessarily . im downloading pokemon y which is about 1761mb and i have 51116 points but every time i resume and stop the download i would have downloaded only about 300mb but my points gets reduced by 1761. now i have only 49398 points but i downloaded only 255 mbs today . is this how the resuming works ?
Are you resuming or actually stopping? We support full resuming, but not stopping and starting. (just a note, if you're stopping and starting in a web browser, don't. Use a download manager like IDM).
The code will only take points if it's a new download. If you use a download manager that supports standard HTTP then resuming a stopped download literally cannot take points again.
which would be a good download manager for this ? and there is no way i can get hose points back can i ? because i would have lost points like 4 times .
No, don't think you're entitled for any point refund, as what happened was due to your own action of stopping and then resuming the download on purpose, not one caused by technical issues on the forum's side or an interrupted download caused by sudden lost of connection. There are terms and conditions to be met for someone to be entitled to point/money refund. If it's not met, then one just have to accept the fact it's not going to be refunded, which is a bitter fact fair. The system won't re-deduct any point from an act of downloading a file which is interrupted by loss of connection, purposely terminating the download in mid progress, or an act of that manner; so long it's within the 24 hours limit (from time of first clicking the download button). Such an issue like yours is the first time I heard since 2008, personally I never experienced such loss even due to an action done like what you did by myself even during my days as regular member (which I often did - cancelling a download in progress halfway through and resuming it within the 24 hours limit). You'd just have to wait until your points accumulates again, which shouldn't take long given you're an active member who signs in often. There are ways on how to speed up your point accumulation as regular member, check : https://www.romulation.org/introduction/#points for more info.
IDM is known to work well with RomUlation. Almost any download manager should work, excluding the firefox built in one because that doesn't support resuming.
