Looking for 'specific' sorts of games...any opinions?

    Hello. :)

My wife and I recently got up and running with the AceKard and are looking for specific sorts of games. We both love the SNES, but sadly, it seems like 60%++ of the ROMs we get from here are corrupt in some way. (That is to say, graphics are messed up, sound is way off, "layers" dont even appear, pixels are scattered about like a messy collage, etc etc..) I was fortunate that my copy of Super Castlevania is seemingly perfect, at least so far. Older favorites like Super Metroid seem wrong somehow though...the graphics will 'jerk' for lack of a better word, and there is this constant metallic cricket sound blaring all the while during gameplay. Neither of us are pros at this by ANY stretch, though we have fiddled around with the graphic layers and whatnot, to no avail. Oddly though, all of the DS games we got work perfectly! I just dont get it, if the ROM is 'corrupted' somehow, why have it for download at all? My buddy set me up years back with something called "ZSNES" that we had on our computer, and it was FLAWLESS....just gorgeous...and I remember that it was F2 to save and F4 to recall...wish these SNES ROMs that we have now worked that way and were such great translations... :(

    But anyhow...
Does anyone know of a good Capcom collection? We found a Konami one, but HERE are the killer titles that I'm after:
    Final Fight (Any)
    King of the Dragons
    Knights of the Round
    Magic Sword
    Captain Commando
    Etc etc..

Does Capcom have some sort of specific "lock-out" tech for their software, or?? ...Because it seems that EVERY Capcom game we download is screwed up in SOME way...its VERY frustrating!! :-\

Thanks a million in advance for ANY help guys and girls. If no such collection exists, can you please recommend some great 2-D style beat 'em ups for us?

    Regards,

    A.R.

If you were using an emulator on your ds, that's why, they are far from perfect on the ds (and even on psp, while better is still imperfect).

Hrm, but if you used them on a pc I don't see how they got so bad...but then again I heard snes9X is one of the better snes emulators instead of znes that you listed.

There is no capcom collection games on ds sadly.

Like Hypnos, I too have a SNES emulator for my PC, which is the Snes9X and it is flawless. As a matter of fact, playing Super Metroid was a blast and brought tears of joy as memories of playing it while in middle school came back. Regardless of the game played, the Snes9X will run them all.
