Looking for sidescrolling shoot em ups, beat em ups & slash em up.

    I've played all castevanias, contra and metal slug 7. Are there any more?

    metal slug 1-6, metalslug advance, to name a few.

    also cyber-lip, which is the predecessor of metal slug.

    metalslug 1-5 and cyberlip can be emulated nicely with NEODS, and you can run slug advance well if you have a slot2 card or a DSTWO/Iplayer

    Unfortunately GameFAQs does not have a separate listing for "slash 'em ups" as that's too vague of a genre as slash 'em ups could also be a beat 'em up or a survival horror genre or even an Action RPG genre game depending on your own preferences.

    I don't think he's into the "kiddie-er" side to platformers though.
