Really any game that hasn't already been recommended by IGN, Gamespot, in their Top 25 of 2006, 2007, 2008 etc. Looking more for hidden gems, or games that were overshadowed by more popular titles. So recommending COD, MGS4 or GTAIV or something along those lines of obviously popular games won't help me at all. Games I have/in process of getting: Bayonetta Borderlands Burnout Paradise Demon's Souls Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice Dragon Age: Origins Final Fantasy XIII Folklore Idiots ended up not seeding it. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Gran Turismo 5 Grand Theft Auto IV Heavenly Sword inFAMOUS Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust Mass Effect 2 Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit PAIN Red Dead Redemption Resonance of Fate Soul Calibur IV Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 Super Street Fighter IV Trinity Universe Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Valkyria Chronicles *Not going to bother with DLC/re-packaged editions
valkyria chronicles. i don't look at IGN for recommendations so if this was recommended, i can't do much more.
It was mentioned somewhere on one of the review websites, but it was only mentioned once, not every time. I heard it was a real underrated game, which is what I'm looking for. Thanks. That, and Castle Crashers is not available in my list of sources. No one bothered to upload it, which is surprising.
Demon's Souls I know, not exactly underrated, but most reviews of this game include the words "very hard" and "unforgiving." Honestly, it's a really hard game, but you can make it a little bit easier on yourself by devoting sometime to getting easy to get good equip and working on your stats. I mean, don't get me wrong, you're still going to die way too many times. Just kind of, if you remember old school challenge and you liked it, this is a must have. If you are somebody who will probably rage throw their controller through the TV if the game is too difficult and you die 178 times over the course if six hours, stay away. :3 Not sure what you mean by "3.50 firmware games" either. If it excludes most newer titles, I've got nothin' for you.
Few examples. Black Ops, GT5 (the new one), and Super Street Fighter IV Pretty much ANYTHING released at the same time or after those games. I'm playing Borderlands right now and I always die. Luckily, I've got a higher level dude that assists the lower ones, farms and buys rare or epic equipment for them.
As I don't see it on that list, Red Dead Redemption. Freaking incredible game. God of War Collection, first two GoW games in HD. Sly Collection if you like the Sly games, try it out if you've never played them. It's a pretty good series. The Collection has all three games. Battlefield Bad Company 2 if you can PSN it up. If not, I wouldn't bother. This goes for pretty much every CoD game too. The story alone just isn't worth it in any of those games. The Collections may be too recent, I'm too lazy to check myself. :3
Yeah, too bad I'm never going online again, and if I were to go online, I'd get myself a 360 since I have at least 10 friends that I can play with at any given time. I overlooked Red Dead Redemption thinking it was going to be some lame western game. Then I looked again and saw it was made by Rockstar, good ol' sandbox style GTA. Why have I never heard of this game? I looked up Demon's Souls, and I think I'm gonna pass on that...The whole losing equipment, cash, and stats every time you die seems like a big pain in the ass. I've played enough MMOs where they do that shit.
Well, when you die in Demon's Souls, it works like this: - You keep all items you collected and had equipped. - You keep all the stat points you have spent souls on. - You lose all of your souls into a bloodstain. - This bloodstain can go and be touched to retrieve all of the souls that you had. - If you die again before getting your bloodstain, all the souls on the first bloodstain are lost, and only the ones from your most recent death remain in the latest bloodstain. - You enter Soul Form where your max HP is cut in half, but there is a ring that makes it so it is only cut by 1/4th. - You can come back by using a certain Stone, killing another player as a Black Phantom in their world, or killing a Major Demon in Soul Form or as a Blue Phantom helping another player in their world. The last two are dependent on Online Play, so you wouldn't be able to experience them sadly. - You can still do pretty much everything you could before while in Soul Form, you are just down some HP. Their are a few perks to offline play though. Although there is a lack of hint messages and your forms of revival are stunted by about half, you can control World Tendencies better allowing you to manipulate the game a little bit more. Not a whole lot is lost without Online though. The main confusion comes from the fact that souls are currency and are used to purchase your stat points. A lot of people are really bad at describing that part. It took until I actually played the game to understand the difference really.
