I decided today that I would like to update my Wii, and am kinda wondering if what I have chose is the best option. Pimp my Wii 2.20 Ace1o1 directed me on using this before to hack my Wii, and am about to run it to update IOSes. Is there anything else it won't update, that could use and update? I'm gonna ask you the same questions that I ask everyone else. Why are you updating? Is it already capable of running backups or is this a virgin Wii? If virgin, what firmware is it? If you don't have a legitimate reason for updating, then don't update. Unless there's some new game out there that just refuses to play, there is no reason to update. If you're looking for IOSes, grab only the ones you need and install them separately. In this same section, you've got a great example of how updating your Wii backfires. One little "fix" creates five new problems. If you're updating official firmware (in this case, Nintendo), you might as well just take a knife and stick it right into your carotid artery because that's essentially what you're doing when you're updating from official firmware. The only reason you should be on 4.3 is that it is a brand new out of the box Wii. Every other reason is accidental.
